Custom Home Building in the Lowcountry
Building a custom home is the largest project most families ever take on, and the one where choosing the right builder matters most. A custom home starts from a blank page and is designed around your land and how you live, instead of being a floor plan picked from a binder.
Get real numbers for your project
Falcon Building Group builds custom homes on marsh-front lots and in established neighborhoods, and our family has been building for more than 40 years. Paul and Angelo Carrabba oversee the build together with a longtime trade partner who serves as project manager.
This is for you if…
- You own (or are buying) a lot in the Lowcountry and want a home planned around how you live.
- You want a builder who will price the whole home honestly and coordinate the trades for you.
- You value a family-owned builder whose family has been building for more than 40 years.
…and not for you if
- You want a production home at a production price. A national builder's spec inventory will get you in faster and cheaper.
- You need to be moved in within a few months. Custom homes take real time, and we won't promise otherwise.
The problems it solves
- Floor plans that don't fit your lot, your view, or your life
- Budget surprises from builders who bid low and change-order high
- Coastal wind, flood, and moisture requirements that punish inexperience
- Vague numbers that leave you guessing what the home will really cost
What's included
- Site evaluation and planning based on your lot
- Full written budget and specification before construction
- Permitting and coastal code compliance
- Construction coordinated by Falcon with trusted trade partners
- Regular scheduled communication throughout the build
- Final walkthrough and post-completion support
How we build it: The Falcon Blueprint
The work follows the same four steps. Read the full process for the detailed version.
1.Listen & Plan
It starts with a conversation. We listen and work through options until the plan fits the way you actually live.
2.Transparent Scope & Budget
You'll know what you're buying, what it costs, and how long it takes before you commit. If the numbers don't work for you, we'd rather hear it now.
3.Build With Trusted Trade Partners
The work is done by independent trade partners, some of whom the family has worked with for many years. Falcon coordinates the schedule so you always know what comes next.
4.Walkthrough & Stand Behind It
A finished project is the only advertising we've ever really had, so we don't call one done until you agree it is. The work carries a 5-year warranty.
How long it takes
Plan on 4 to 8 months for design, engineering, and permitting, then roughly 10 to 16 months of construction depending on size and site. We'll map your specific timeline before you commit.
What to expect on cost
Custom home budgets are driven by size, site conditions, and finish level. We put a complete written budget in front of you before construction. See our Cost & Investment Guide for how custom home pricing really works.
